WHO CAN BE CERTIFIED?

UNE 179003 certification is aimed at all healthcare organizations, regardless of their size, type and the healthcare scope of their activity. It can be applied to all the healthcare activities of the center or only to part of them.

The standard sets out the general principles and requirements for healthcare facilities to manage risks. These include minimizing hazards to which patients may be subjected during their healthcare, reducing accidents and improving clinical outcomes.

Healthcare organizations are increasingly subject to increased risks due to the evolving need for healthcare activity and the progressive complexity and specialization of healthcare processes. The purpose of this standard is to facilitate safer healthcare for the patient.
