Applus+ Certification signs a new collaboration agreement with the Colombian Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACOPI).
In 2021, 1.5 million micro, small and medium-sized enterprises were registered in Colombia, this amounts to:
ACOPI, the association that encompasses most Colombian SMEs has committed to join Applus+ Certification on a path towards carbon neutrality during the last National Congress.
The main objective of the agreement signed by both entities, is to help its affiliated companies implement solutions to strengthen their compliance with international standards in terms of the environmental sustainability and carbon footprint verification.
In addition, the alliance aims to involve other private sector actors, public entities and international cooperation agencies in this effort. In order to do so, both entities will develop a series of specific actions to increase conscience and mitigate the environmental impact that Colombian SMEs have on climate change.
