Applus+ issues ISO 27001 certification to Mallorca’s Sant Joan de Déu de Palma Hospital

    The certification centres on the hospital’s IT security management systems

    Sant Joan de Déu de Palma Hospital has acquired ISO 27001 certification for IT security. This certification scheme delivers a methodology for the implementation of IT security within an organisation.
    The ISO 27001 standard provides an IT security management system comprising a series of procedures intended to protect patient and staff data from any form of threat, thereby safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of said data.
    The certificate was presented on 26th April 2013 at an event at the hospital itself.
