On 17th January, Applus+ Certification granted IFS Food certificate to NEW WAY FOODS S.L., manufacturers of the MAJAO product range. MAJAO PRODUCTS: RECIPES WITH HISTORY
This Sevillian company has been selling fresh gazpacho and Andalucian salmorejo under the MAJAO brand since 1982. Their recipes date back to 1940, when Grandma Reyes lovingly created them in the kitchen of the renowned Venta Ruiz Sevillana.
The mission of NEW WAY FOODS S.L. is to provide households with fresh and healthy foods free of additives and preservatives. In order to achieve this, they draw on cutting-edge production and packaging techniques that do not compromise the unique flavour of their products.
IFS FOOD: COMMITTED TO PRODUCT QUALITY
Guided by the AECONOVA consultancy, NEW WAY FOODS S.L. chose to turn to Applus+ Certification for its IFS certification. IFS is a standard applying to processed-food manufacturers with a view to ensuring regulatory compliance, food safety and customer satisfaction.
This internationally recognised standard offers a range of benefits to companies that are committed to ensuring the quality and safety of their food products. IFS opens up new markets as it incorporates many of the quality requirements demanded by the primary supply chains. NEW WAY FOODS’ Director of Food Safety and Quality, Rafael de Aquino Darnaude, confirms that the certification “opens the door to the major European distributors and enables us to establish and improve on existing agreements with national and international supply chains that require IFS certification to market our products in their sales outlets”.
